How does my brain work when I'm writing? In particular, what does it do when I'm revising, which is, really, the bulk of writing? These questions have been pressing since the beginning of the school year, and lately, they've been pressing even more?
Despite the persistence of these questions, I haven't quite figured out what I'm considering when I move a big chunk of text or when I delete a paragraph or line. I do know that I'm looking for something...but what/
