Sunday's River of Stones and more

Yesterday I figured out something important. If you're watching a marathon----the end of it---it's hard not to keep going on the elliptical trainer. Some thin, thin woman is running in a midriff top and briefs that look like underwear and she's approaching the finish line, her face expressionless. Just as she gets there, her facial features soften and she begins to cry. There is no way I can get off the machine and just go clean up. I must persist.

Speaking of persistence, today's main tasks include getting two manuscripts off, each to separate contests. And the contests have NO FEES. I've repeatedly said online, entering a writing contests slightly increases your chances of winning (over not entering). Still...

Though the Golden Globes are on tonight, I'm not sure I can/will watch. The host---whose name I won't mention---is the reason. Watching a great film on Netflix will most likely be how I wrap up this day.
